A few images from a family trip to the Calgary Zoo while Grandma Knobel was in town for a visit. It was a cloudy and relatively cool spring day (compared to the hot weather we’ve been having so far this year anyway…) but the animals were all very active and posed very well for me!

Spring Break in Montana – Yellowstone
Images from a late winter / early spring trip to Yellowstone National Park in Montana and Wyoming. It was in between seasons for the park so only the northern road between Gardiner, Mammoth Hot Springs, and Cooke City was open. We made the best of it and had a great visit. We spent time wandering around Mammoth and saw plenty of big game animals including Pronghorns, Elk, Deer, and plenty of Bison.

We finally made the decision that the weeds growing out of the cracks between the stones were just too big and that it was finally time to do something this year. Our plans were pretty vague. Although winter has officially only just begun, we’ve had a lot of winter already in Calgary this year. Sometimes that can be annoying, but other times it can be simply beautiful. When the hoar frost settled down over the city at the end of December it was crazy beautiful. We went for a walk along the river pathway and into Sue Higgins park (Southland Dog Park) to enjoy the scenery.
