We went for a family weekend in Lake Louise and kicked it off by having a picnic lunch and going hiking in Banff on the way. We had lunch at the end of the parkway at Vermillion Lake with a nice view of Mt. After Mark & Chantal’s Wedding in Sarnia we drove through Algonquin Park to get to the cottage, and we took some time out to do a couple of short hikes. We stopped at Hardwood Lookout and at Spruce Bog Boardwalk. Both were beautiful and definitely worth doing, but it made for a much longer drive than we expected…
For my birthday Louise signed me up for a photography course at the Calgary Zoo. It was one session in the classroom, followed by a morning at the Zoo. I’m not sure I learned all that much, but I had lots of fun at the zoo and I have to present some photo’s at a critique session later this week. Hopefully I will get some valuable feedback from the instructor, and I should be able to pick up some good stuff from the feedback for the other students too.
